accessing Internet with Pac Mate

How can I connect the Pac Mate to the Internet? Someone local told me to buy a wireless Internet card, but I don't know what brand to buy or how to install it into the Pac Mate. I'm surprised that wireless capability does not appear to be built in. I'm also surprised the Pac Mate assumes by default that a dial-up connection is preferable. The Pac Mate I have is a couple of years old with the latest firmware update.

hi my friend
what you need is a good quality wireless compact flash card.
The Socket Go Wifi P500 802.11G Compact Flash Card is a good one - this is plug and play.
i'm not sure the pacmate will actually support 802.11N technology - the pacmate is fairlry older assistive technology.

hope this helps

Does the CompactFlash wireless card you reference definitely work with the Pac Mate? I only ask because I don't want to buy something and not have it work in the device.

Why not write to FS?

I have not written to FS yet because I'm looking for connection recommendations from current Pac Mate users. Regarding my second response: I realized after writing the post that the CF wireless card was probably recommended due to being used in the Pac Mate. I'm still looking for other wireless card recommendations which work with the Pac Mate.
